Level 6 Diploma in Creative Therapeutic Practice for Children & Young People
Service Description
We are excited to announce that our Level 6 Diploma in Creative Therapeutic Practice for Children and Young People accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body is now open for enrolment (Accreditation Imminent) This Diploma is suitable for practitioners from related fields including: teachers, LSAs , nurses and social workers wishing to build their creative therapeutic practice skills to support the emotional well-being of children and young people. Delivered by our team of highly skilled and experienced therapist educators over 11 Saturdays including 1 weekend, year 1 focuses on theory, experiential learning and creative self reflection. Year 2 is practice based, focussing on a clinical field placement under the close supervision and mentoring of one of our expert clinical supervisors, which is included in the price of the course. Our carefully curated curriculum focuses on working safely and ethically as a practitioner, the principles of therapeutic language and practice, child development, attachment and trauma, neuroscience, safeguarding, child mental health, suicidal ideation and self-harm, neurodivergence, working with families and working in schools. The combining of theory, supervised practice and self reflection will provide learners with the tools to create safe, creative and responsive tier 2 interventions which will enable CYP to access early intervention before issues escalate and require more intensive therapeutic services. Additional information Learners will demonstrate their knowledge and skills through a theoretical essay, written case study and presentation and the development of a self reflective creative portfolio which will be assessed and examined. The time commitment is 13 days of training over 12 months and approximately 16 weeks of supervised placement time. There will also be additional learning and personal study, approximately 379 learning hours over the year. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a Level 6 Diploma in Creative Therapeutic Practice, delivered by the Centre for Creative Therapeutic Practice and accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body. Cancellation Policy
The Centre for Creative Therapeutic Practice (TCCTP) Refund and Cancellation Guidance Policy and Conditions Joining information for all of TCCTP's courses will normally be sent 1-week prior to the start date - please check your junk & spam folders if you have not seen this information - contacting the office on the day or evening before the start date will not always be responded to prior to the course starting. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@tcctp.org. Cancellations made one month or before will be refunded in full minus £10 administration fee. Less than one month but more than 14 days before the course will be charged at 50%. Less than 14 days' notice will be fully chargeable. Please Note • Programmes are subject to change. • It is the attendees responsibility to check their email including junk and spam folders for joining details. • There is a possibility that the course/event may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure. In the case of insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be offered. In the case of force majeure such as the Coronavirus pandemic, alternative dates will be offered. If these dates are not suitable, a partial refund will be offered taking into account cost of overheads • If TCCTP offer face-2-face training - Please do not book any travel or accommodation until you have received confirmation of your booking from TCCTP. We will not be liable for this cost in the event you are not booked onto the course/event. • Where fees for attendees are being paid by a third party (e.g. employer). TCCTP will endeavour to collect the course fee through invoicing. However, where the third party fails to make payment, the course attendee will remain liable for said fees if cancellation is not made on time within our terms (see cancellation our policy above).
