Our Courses

We offer a bespoke training model designed to meet the unique needs of your setting. Every partnership begins with a free, no-obligation consultation with one of our Co-Founding Directors, ensuring our training is tailored to meet the needs of your staff and clients.

Our flexible training menu includes a wide range of specialist topics, which can be delivered as stand-alone sessions or incorporated into a broader development programme. Our training is specifically designed to enable staff to support clients immediately in 1-1 sessions, in groups, as part of a department, or as an organisational approach.

All courses can be tailored to the needs of arts therapists, social workers, psychological or creative therapists. They can also be adapted for learning support assistants, teachers, pastoral and residential staff, and arts-in-health professionals. At TCCTP we are committed to delivering high quality and accessible training that supports practitioners to deliver effective and early help to children and young people.  From practitioners wishing to embark on an intermediate course at foundation level or an advanced course at diploma level, our courses can equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people through creative therapeutic practice.

Foundation Skills in Creative Therapeutic Practice with CYP

Our Foundation Skills Course in Creative Therapeutic Practice for working with Children and Young People is a 6-week intermediate programme designed for qualified Arts Therapists, Counsellors, and Practitioners who wish to enhance their skills in creative therapeutic engagement.

This course offers a rich, experiential learning journey, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical techniques to strengthen confidence and competence in practice.

L6 Diploma in Creative Therapeutic Practice for CYP

This CPCAB Accredited Level 6 Diploma is suitable for Children and Young People's Practitioners from a range of disciplines, as well as qualified Arts Therapists and Counsellors.

It is well documented that there has been a steady year-on-year increase in the number of children and young people experiencing mental health challenges and/or undiagnosed autism, many of whom are placed on ever-growing waiting lists while their distress and symptoms worsen.

Through our work, we also meet many committed practitioners who are passionate about supporting children and young people through creative therapeutic approaches, but who face financial, geographical, and other barriers to advancing their training in this area.

This Diploma has been designed to enable quicker access to safe and effective support for children and young people, while simultaneously reducing barriers to specialist training by strengthening the skills of this often invisible yet vital workforce.

If you believe that no child should have to wait for support, please click the link below to find out more.
